The WWE SmackDown episode on July 26, 2024, will be a pre-taped show due to the promotion’s tour in Japan over the weekend. The show will feature a tag team gauntlet match with six teams competing for a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship. The competing teams include The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson), The Bloodline (Tonga Loa & Tama Tonga), The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), Apollo Crews & Baron Corbin, Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince), and Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro). Additionally, the storyline between Bayley and Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam now involves Michin and Tiffany Stratton. Last week, Bayley was ringside to stop Nia’s intervention during Tiffany vs. Michin match and destroyed Tiffany’s MITB briefcase, leading to Michin’s win. This week, Bayley and Michin will clash with Nia and Tiffany in a tag team match.
LA Knight has his sights set on WWE United States Champion Logan Paul at SummerSlam, but he first must face Santos Escobar, who feels overlooked. Knight has a chance to prove himself in their match. Meanwhile, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) will appear on SmackDown for a segment to confront Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
