“The WWE SmackDown episode airing on April 26, 2024, marks the beginning of the WWE Draft 2024, with 16 stars poised to be drafted to either brand. Additionally, the buildup for the Backlash France 2024 event continues with Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles scheduled to sign a contract for their title match. Here’s a preview and match card for this week’s WWE SmackDown episode:
Night 1 of the WWE Draft 2024 on SmackDown will see 20 groups and individuals up for grabs. Superstars such as AJ Styles, Bianca Belair, LA Knight, Liv Morgan, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Sheamus, and more are in contention. The draft will feature 16 names drafted in 4 rounds, with the remaining names to be determined in a supplement draft after the show.
In addition to the draft, AJ Styles, the #1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, will go head-to-head against Cody Rhodes at Backlash 2024 PLE. The two competitors will make their title bout official with a contract signing segment.
With so much at stake and the anticipation running high, this week’s WWE SmackDown promises to be an action-packed and pivotal episode.”
